Congratulations, Lord of the Rings!
I never pay much attention to the Academy Awards but I watched bits and pieces, rooting for LOTR. I was pleased to see them sweep 11 awards, including best pic. It was also incredible news about how much money the Passion made it's first week! (see figures below) Movies are a powerful tool to not only reach people but shape their attitudes and worldviews. It is refreshing to see powerful portrayals of Christianity/Catholicism (as in the Passion) and more subtle but just as effective portrayals as in LOTR. May there be many more to come!
