Do any of you Catholic Mamas (or Papas) have homeschooled Preschoolers? I'm interested to know what format you use. I just read the book "Natural Structure: A Montessori Approach to Classical Education at Home" from Catholic Heritage Curricula and found it fascinating. I never knew Dr. Montessori was Catholic. Now that Bella is 2 1/2 I want to start her in a little preschool "program" at home, so I'd appreciate any books, website etc that you'd recommend. Thanks!

Info: playschool6 at yahoo groups is a group of homeschool moms (mostly) discussing the use of Montessori method in the home.
Once again it seems you and I were separated at birth, but you are very clearly the industrious and organized one. Over here, I've been thinking, "Hmmmm, Hambet's gettin' on three, what kind of Montessori homeschool preschool could I rig up?"
If you follow the link in our sidebar to Mothering with Grace and enter the forums, there are a couple of Montessori topics in the "Homeschool" forum.
It's important to start languages early, so I think the following are good books:
Quomodo Invidiosulus Nomine Grinchus Christi Natalem Abrogaverit (How the Grinch Stole Christmas)
Cattus Petasatus (The Cat in the Hat)
Winnie Ille Pu
Winnie Ille Pu Semper Ludet (The House at Pooh Corner)
We only own "Winnie Ille Pu" so far, but Kat's only 9 Months :-) So, she mostly gets the following:
Hic porcellus ivit ad tabernas,
sed hic porcellus mansit domi.
Hic porcellus edit bubulam,
Sed hic porcellus edit nullam.
Et hic porcellus flevit, "Vii, Vii, Vii"
Per totam viam domum.
(hint: porcellus is the diminuitive of 'pig' and in classical pronunciation 'v' is pronounced as a 'w' sound)
