Tag, You're It
I’ve been tagged for a book meme by Being! Or Nothingness. (Sort of an intellectual duck-duck-goose, I suppose.) I’m to answer the following questions, then tag 5 others. So here it goes…
1) Total number of books I own - I’m not sure…three, four hundred? Unless you count Brian’s books as “mine” (ie. “Yours is mine and mine is yours”), then the number would at least triple!
2) The last book I bought – I bought two, A Refutation of Moral Relativism by Peter Kreeft and Radiating Christ by Raol Plus.
3) The last book I read was – To be honest, I can’t remember since I’m always reading three at a time. (Depends on what kind of mood I’m in at the end of the day – I read in bed to fall asleep.) I’m in the last chapters of Young & Catholic by Tim Drake, Persuasion by Jane Austen and just starting A Mother’s Letters: A Vision of Faith in Everyday Life by Venerable Concepcion Cabrera de Armida
4) Five books that mean a lot to me – That’s a tough one. Off hand, I’d say:
Christ Is My Life with Marcial Maciel (Lots of spiritual wisdom.)
A Mother's Rule of Life: How to Bring Order to Your Home and Peace to Your Soul by Holly Pierlot (Lots of practical advice.)
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (I read it at least once a year and never tire of it.)
Arms of Love by Carmen Marcoux (Who would have thought there’d be a worthy Catholic “romance” novel.)
Little Bear Treasury by Else Holmelund Minarik (I used to love this as a kid and now I snuggle up with my Bella to read it to her.)
