Time for the Lock Down Drill

The other day Bella came home from school and told me that along with school fire and earthquake drills, they now have lock down drills. The state is mandating all schools to have them. It makes me sick to my stomach to think Bella has to be prepared in case some psycho gets on the school grounds and starts shooting or killing people. But then you hear in the news stories like the one about the man who attacked a day care center and it is no wonder that these precautions have to be taken. It can get disheartening.
